Many families work as laborers; sometimes having to sell their children just to earn enough money to support their family. Approximately 2.4 million deaths could be prevented annually if people had appropriate hygiene practices, including reliable sanitation. Nearly 20 percent of the world's population is forced to go to the bathroom out in the open. The external structure will vary, however each unit includes a dual-tank system for optimized sanitation.

Tens of millions of people in Asia live in the squalor of slums—in one-room shanties, usually without electricity, running water or toilets. But through slum ministry, the Lord is giving people in slums the chance for a better life. GFA World-supported national workers serving in slums teach adult literacy classes and tutor children. They disseminate information about health and hygiene. They distribute income-generating gifts, along with practical gifts, like water filters, toilets and clothing. The Scriptures show that the Lord has a special role for women to fulfill in His kingdom. The first person to whom God chose to announce His Son's earthly arrival was a woman. Reaching the most unreached in our generation is the vision God has given to GFA World. Women's Literacy Classes Teach Scripture and Skills
Women across South Asia gather each week for literacy classes where they learn reading, writing and math skills. When a woman completes the course, she's able to read warning labels to protect her children and understand contracts to avoid bonded labor. She won't get cheated at the marketplace because she will finally know how to add. And she can read the Bible for herself and teach it to her children.

Daily, our brothers and sisters on the field face the reality of persecution for their faith in Christ. It's not uncommon for angry mobs of anti-Christians to beat up believers, burn down churches and torture pastors.

By contributing to persecution relief, you'll be a part of paying the medical expenses for believers, which can also include travel to bigger hospitals for treatment.

Motorcycles can carry two national missionaries at a time! A motorcycle is an extremely useful and time-saving tool, especially in hilly areas where pedaling a bicycle is difficult. The cost of a motorcycle is $1,900.

Cows, and the milk they produce, help families grow healthier and more financially secure. A cow’s milk can be consumed, adding nutrients to the family’s diet, or sold, adding to the family’s income. The cow’s manure serves as a fertilizer for farmers, resulting in a better harvest. As cows multiply, so does the financial benefit and the family’s hope.

Water buffalo are powerful animals often used to plough fields. They produce milk for drinking or selling, and their dung can be used as fuel for cooking. Your gift towards a water buffalo could greatly improve a family’s financial situation!

These portly critters bring powerful financial breakthroughs to needy families. Piglets fetch a good price at market, which enables families to buy whatever they need, and adult pigs provide ample meat for selling or eating.

Goats may or may not have been there to greet baby Jesus, but they sure are a great way to show His love to families in need. These animals provide meat and milk, and they can be sold for a good price. Increased income means more money for things like food and blankets, but it also enables families to send their children to school, making a lasting difference in the fight against poverty

Your gift towards chickens can help supplement a family’s income and get them on their feet financially. Hungry families can eat or sell the nutritious eggs, or they can hatch chicks to increase their flock and later have more eggs and chicks to sell. Most importantly, this gift gives each recipient a walking reminder that God sees them and He cares about them.
